Eminem Name-Checks Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon and More in ‘Kick Off’ Freestyle

Eminem performs during the 2018 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 9, 2018 in Manchester, Tenn. Eminem has a long history of calling out a few famous folk in disturbing capacities across his discography, and he’s just added a few more to the list in his most recent freestyle.

The rapper dropped the 11-minute “Kick Off” late Friday night (Nov. 30), and he mentions Ariana Grande (while referring to the terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester in May of 2017) and compliments Jada Pinkett Smith (“Told this chick she’s hot as Jada Pinkett/And just stared ’til I made her think it”).

His throws to Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon and more aren’t as friendly. Eminem raps about beating Witherspoon to death with a broom, and the third verse features a barb at Justin Bieber (“Justin Bieber in a Catholic school/Selling dust and reefer when your back is to him”). He refers to “Christina” just a few bars later: F–k Christina with a plastic spoon While I bump some G-Funk and blast some Snoop ‘Cause her double g-cups are massive, huge! It’s fun for me just to grab a boob Plus my penis got an attitude Could the “Christina” in question be Christina Aguilera?

The rapper called her by her full name in the crude lyrics of his 2000 track “The Real Slim Shady,” and she addressed the diss and how it and the cultural climate inspired her to write one of her strongest empowerment anthems, “Can’t Hold Us Down,” in her 2018 Billboard cover story. Regardless, there are plenty of familiar names to be found in the lyrics of “Kick Off,” and Marshall Mathers’ latest output falls in line with his many instances fo violently attacking women with his words.
